Mr. Fayssal Frem, Chairman and CEO of UNIPAKHELLAS, was honoured at the annual event of the Holy Metropolis Ftiotidos Charity Institution on Sunday, March 10th, 2023. The event, which drew the participation of notable public figures and over 1,200 attendees, was a testament to the spirit of giving and community support.
As the gold sponsor of the event, UNIPAKHELLAS, a member of INDEVCO Group, demonstrated its unwavering commitment to social responsibility by standing alongside Mr. Frem in support of this noble cause.
Hosted by his eminence, Bishop Symeon of the Holy Metropolis Fthiotidos, the event brought together a prestigious gathering of authorities, ministers, members of the Greek Parliament, governors, mayors, and other distinguished guests. Amidst this esteemed audience, Bishop Symeon took the opportunity to recognize Mr. Frem’s contributions by declaring him the “Gold Sponsor” of 2023as well as “Great Benefactor” of the Holy Metropolis Fthiotidos and awarded him the distinguished medal and letter of honour symbolizing the gratitude of the church and community for his support. This recognition not only highlights Mr. Frem’s personal commitment to community but also underscores the Group’s philosophy: “What is good for the community is good for the company.”
During the ceremony, Bishop Symeon highlighted that, “more and more donors are responding to the call of love of the local Church, associations and bodies,” adding that we are “a society in which we do not only coexist as roommates in the same city, or in the same village, or in the same neighbourhood, but as brothers in Christ.”
In his acceptance speech, Mr. Frem expressed his deep gratitude for the honour bestowed upon him. He thanked Bishop Symeon stating, “His eminence is a genuine person who spares no effort to continuously support the region of Ftiothis, engaging with all the fabrics of the community to ensure we are all accomplishing our mission as Christians, to look after each other and fulfil ourselves with the joy of giving with love.” Reiterating his firm belief in the importance of giving back to society and reaffirming the group’s continued dedication to supporting charitable initiatives of his eminence, Mr. Frem said, “We shall always be by your side in your journey of community service.”
